I have finally succumb to the peer pressure. The people in my life are constantly telling me that I need to start an Etsy shop. I need to have a craft blog. I need to sell the things that I make. The response I recieved when I finally decided to start this blog was, "Finally!".
I guess I will have to tell you a little bit about my craftiness if I want to keep you interested in what I am doing. I have always been a naturally creative person drawing, photographing, making things. I started very young and I take after my mother. I feel a sense of accomplishment making something with my own two hands, whether it be a simple doodle or as I'm currently working, my first quilt! Recently we got a Silhouette Cameo and I've gotten into vinyl. I also recently enrolled in a beginner quilting class!
As for the "blogging" part, I can't tell you how many times I have started a blog and never followed through. I find it weird putting my thoughts on paper (or in this case the screen) and I have never been much of a writer, but I am passionate enough to share my craft knowledge with you, so I hope you find something helpful on the screen.
What do I want you to take away from a visit on this blog? I want the visitors of my blog to see what I am up to, how I do certain things (maybe good, maybe not so good - I'm not perfect), and I'd like to put up some tutorials and such as I learn and work through things so maybe you won't make the same mistakes that I do when working with new materials. I also don't think anyone should be intimidated when starting something new (I am still guilty of this). I'm also a deal hunter... so I always try to use a promo or coupon code if I buy anything online or in store. I'll share that stuff with you too. Us crafter's have to stick together!
