Freebie Friday - Paper Doll

I used to doodle girls like this when I was in high school.  I think some Freebie Friday's will include dresses and accessories for her.  Enjoy!

Intown Quilters on ScoutMob

If you live in the Atlanta area my favorite quilt/fabric shop (and the place I enrolled in my Beginner Class) is having a 50% off deal with ScoutMob!  If you've got a smart phone, all you have to do is install the app, go to te location and click use this deal.  It's up to $25.  Totally worth the drive for me!  It's the cutest little shop you ever did see!

Freebie Friday - Keep Calm and Craft On

Here is my first Friday Freebie!  Keep Calm and Craft On.

I included the traditional Keep Calm crown and some other craft goodies so you can customize it yourself!  Perfect for cutting vinyl, Silhouette ladies!  I think I might just be cutting this out and placing it on a tumbler cup for myself!

Welcome!

I have finally succumb to the peer pressure.  The people in my life are constantly telling me that I need to start an Etsy shop.  I need to have a craft blog.  I need to sell the things that I make.  The response I recieved when I finally decided to start this blog was, "Finally!".

I guess I will have to tell you a little bit about my craftiness if I want to keep you interested in what I am doing.  I have always been a naturally creative person drawing, photographing, making things.  I started very young and I take after my mother.  I feel a sense of accomplishment making something with my own two hands, whether it be a simple doodle or as I'm currently working, my first quilt!  Recently we got a Silhouette Cameo and I've gotten into vinyl.  I also recently enrolled in a beginner quilting class!

As for the "blogging" part, I can't tell you how many times I have started a blog and never followed through.  I find it weird putting my thoughts on paper (or in this case the screen) and I have never been much of a writer, but I am passionate enough to share my craft knowledge with you, so I hope you find something helpful on the screen.

What do I want you to take away from a visit on this blog?  I want the visitors of my blog to see what I am up to, how I do certain things (maybe good, maybe not so good - I'm not perfect), and I'd like to put up some tutorials and such as I learn and work through things so maybe you won't make the same mistakes that I do when working with new materials.  I also don't think anyone should be intimidated when starting something new (I am still guilty of this).  I'm also a deal hunter... so I always try to use a promo or coupon code if I buy anything online or in store.  I'll share that stuff with you too.  Us crafter's have to stick together!
